Terms of use
Last updated 5 June 2026. Itemate (a.k.a. Tally) is an MBS-code suggestion tool for the paediatric orthopaedic practice of Dr Geoff Donald.
What this tool is and isn't
- Itemate suggests Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) item numbers from operative-report text pasted by an authenticated clinician. It does not bill, claim, submit, or transmit anything to Medicare or any third party.
- Itemate is not a medical device as defined by the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 (Cth) or the Therapeutic Goods (Medical Devices) Regulations 2002 (Cth). It does not provide clinical advice and is not used for diagnosis, prevention, monitoring, prediction, prognosis, treatment, or alleviation of any disease.
- The clinician using Itemate is solely responsible for the final code selection, the billing decision, and any consequences thereof. Itemate's suggestions are starting points for clinician judgement, not substitutes for it.
How patient data is handled
In short: pasted report text is de-identified server-side before any external API call, no patient data is persisted, server-side logs are PHI-free, and authentication is handled by Cloudflare Access. The only stored data is doctor-curated correction rules, which contain procedure-name text and never patient identifiers. The full detail lives in the Privacy notice.
